Unstick your nail polish bottles

Have you ever used your teeth to open your nail polish? I know I have, here is a quick tip to cleaning your nail polish bottles so you can open them easily every time.

So this is what it looks like before. I used my teeth to open it because it was really stuck.
So the tools you need are just a cotton pad and nail polish remover.

Soak the cotton pad with nail polish remover.
Wipe the outside of the bottle with nail polish remover to remove all that dried, caked up nail polish.

Go over it a few times if you need to. I think I used about 3 cotton pads.
Just keep going in circles around until it all comes off.

You have a clean bottle of nail polish.
Now close it and open it easily the next time you want to use it.
Thanks for watching and I hope this helps you!

Almay Smart Shade Smart Balanced Pressed Powder

My personal picture
I just bought the new Almay pressed powder. I'm not crazy about it but I don't hate it so much that I need to return it. I will try to post a picture of me with it on but my camera is acting up and my phone is running out memory. Let me know if any of you have tried it and what you think of it. i need a tri-pod so I can start doing some videos.

My first impression was it looked good on my skin, but then the color didn't really match, then I got closer to the mirror and looked at my face good and it caked up all over. I'm super oily and I bought this hoping it would mattify my face for touch ups but it just caked up everywhere. Going to try it one last time tomorrow. Thanks for reading.  Here are some more pictures of the actual product.

This is my own personal opinion and I bought this product with my own money.

Crackle Nail Polish on top of Pink Glitter

Hi all!! So I decided to do a glitter crackle nail polish and I wanted to post my pictures on how I did it. So here we go.

The tools you need:
Pink Polish
Pink Glitter Polish
Black Crackle
Clear Polish
A stiff flat brush
Nail Polish Remover
Cotton Rounds
(Not the remote control)

Start by polishing all your nails with the pink, just one coat.
Let that dry and paint 2 coats of glitter on top, allow each to dry in between
Once Coat

Two Coats
Allow it to FULLY dry, the crackle works best on super dry nails.
Don't worry about the spill on your skin because we are going to wipe that off after.

Once it is dry, apply the crackle on top and watch what happens.

Black OPI crackle

The pink shows through just a little.
The crackle polish dries very dull.
Allow it to dry and apply a clear coat.

Let that dry and apply a second clear coat, and once that is dry we can clean up our polish.

To clean the polish from the skin this is what you will need.

A flat round cotton.
A brush with a stiff flat side.
The cap of the nail polish remover filled with a little remover.
All you do is dip the edge of the brush in the polish remover and wipe the side of your nail.
It will come right off, clean it on the cotton and continue with all your nails.

Now enjoy your beautiful nails and get a ton of compliments!!

My $1 finds and my new favorite eyeliner

I had some time to kill today and I decided to go to the 99 cents store. I was actually looking for a tri-pod that I saw at Dollar Tree but thought I would try there. So I always check out the make-up section and found some awesome stuff.

Almay Pure Blends in Ivory
I really like this color for a quick day time look. You can also use it as a highlight for the brow bone of on the inner corners of you eyes to brighten them.

Aziza Lipstick in Kiss Me Pink
I really like Aziza Lipsticks and I've tried a few of them but never this one. Look out for my swatch of it and how to pull off pink lipstick.

ChapStick Shimmer
This chapstick smells sooo good. Its like a Pina Colada on your lips. This looks good under matte lipstick to add a hint of shimmer. Also by itself with a dark smokey eye.

E.L.F. Liquid Eyeliner in Coffee
This is my first eyeliner from ELF and I LOVE it. I'm so shocked. I got a brown because I have a ton of black. This goes really nice with my everyday neutral eye.

ELF was actually bought at Target, I'm sorry I just remembered.

This is the picture of me with it on. I love it and it was so simple to do the wing. It's super dark and almost looks black.

These were all a dollar at the 99 Cents store except for the ELF eyeliner which was at Target and they were all purchased with my own money.
I hope you all enjoyed!

DIY: How to make your old jewelry look new again!!

Hi all!! I was going through some old jewelry of mine that I just LOVE but can not seem to part with and decided to re-paint it so I can start wearing it again. I did 2 rings and an old keychain that has sentimental value to me. I'm going to show you what I did so you can do it too. Enjoy!

Ok so here is my key chain:

This is my initial in Armenian (yes I'm Armenian)

1) Ok So what you do is sand it down with sand paper, the reason for this is so the paint will adhere better to what ever you want to paint.

This is the sand paper I used, I just cut a small piece of it.

2) Make sure you sand all of it down and make sure it is all even.

This is what it should look like

3) Lay the piece of jewelry down on a flat surface covered in newspaper or anything to protect your surface and spray a thin layer over the top.

The paint that I used (I love this color)
2 coats of paint

4) Let the paint dry and spray a second coat.
5) Let that coat dry and flip it over and spray a layer on top of that making sure you get the edges.
6) When that dries spray the second coat over.
7) After that last coat dries, put a clear coat over the top, I used a clear nail polish because it gave a really nice gloss.
8) Let that dry and flip it over and do the bottom.

2 coats of gloss
9) Once that dries you are all done, enjoy your brand new piece of jewelry.

The possibilities are endless because you can even re-paint something new that you just bought but did like the color but loved the design.

Here are some pictures of 2 rings I did. The big one with a tree was an ugly faded silver color but it was so unique looking I just couldn't part with it.

After
I hope you all enjoyed and I hope to see some your before and after of your old jewelry.

DAY 2

I used my lap top camera and my pimple looks much worse here than in person but I'm going to post it anyway. I'm sorry for the horrible picture, my camera is dead and my son is being a super big brat and keeps unplugging it.

Home Remedy to reduce pimple size

My cousin Maria is an esthetician, she gives me all these awesome tips on home remedies for my hair, nails, and face. She does at home facials and waxing, she's great! Anyway, I have been breaking out like crazy because I've been so stressed out. So she told me a great tip to reduce the size of a pimple and help with redness. I wanted to share it with all of you. The embarrassing part is I'm going to post before and after pictures. So I hope you all enjoy and this technique works for you.

Here is a before picture of my pimples:
 My forehead

My left cheek
These are all before pictures. Gross I know I'm sorry.

My home remedy steps:
Make sure your face is freshly washed.

1) Ok so all you do is take an Excedrin or something with a high mg of Aspirin.
2) Crush it up between a paper towel with a spoon or something.
3) Pour it into like a small cup like a shot glass or something similar
4) Add a drop or two of water, enough to make a thick paste.
5) With your finger, pat it onto your pimples, make sure its a good thick layer.

I look ridiculous I know, my husband looked at me and just walked away.

6) leave it on until it dries and hardens, you'll feel it tingling just a little.
7) Wash it off with warm water really well
8) Continue with your daily skin care regimen and it should look a lot better.
Here are my after pictures.

Forehead after

Right cheek after

So I'm going to do this everyday twice a day for a few days and it should be gone within a few days and leave no scar on the face. I hope you all enjoyed this blog post sorry its so long. Please subscribe!!

Queen of the Ring

It's all about women now and days. Women need to show our power and what we can do. Here is one good example. Vague and Babs present "Queen of the Ring" its the only all female rap battle leauge. Women get into the ring and challenge each other lyrically. There are a ton of different videos on youtube and all over the internet. These women are intellectual and are battling to be crowned the "Queen of the Ring". I believe in women power and here's just another way.
Check out this video that was featured on www.prettygirlie.com. It shows one women take the battle a little too far and too personal.

This video is sick. One of the ladies gets a little too close for comfort, but she rocks!
